COVID-19 Statement

To our community residents, partners and other stakeholders,

The Center for Transforming Communities has felt the local impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on our communities. Like many of you, we are closely monitoring the situation and have taken the following measures to ensure the health and safety of our community residents and employees:

Staff and The Commons Building:

As of March 17, 2020, and for the duration of the coronavirus-related state of emergency in Memphis, all CTC staff are teleworking during weekdays and the Commons on Merton Building will have limited access during weekdays and weekends. Disinfectant and hand sanitizer have been made available in all facilities for those who are visiting the building.

The Commons Building Partners are to use their discretion in continuing their operations, given the CDC guidelines.

For events scheduled during this time, please contact Adam Nelson at (insert email here) for rescheduling.

Community Events and Meetings:

For all CTC-led community meetings, March meetings will be canceled. We will resume our Community VOICE, Binghampton Community, and South Memphis meetings in April.

At this time, the 3rd Binghampton International Festival and Community Storytelling event will be postponed to a later date, as we work to comply with the CDC and City of Memphis guidelines regarding large gatherings. More information will be shared as available.

We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 spread and will share updates as they are available. For any pressing issues or concerns, please contact the CTC staff via email. For more information about COVID-19 in Shelby County, please visit shelbytnhealth.com.
