Black Lives Matter - CTC Response

The Center for Transforming Communities is deeply saddened and angered by the injustices black and brown people are experiencing in this country. As a social change organization, we center equity in all we do and challenge the status quo through our organizing and engagement practices. We stand with our communities in the fight against police brutality and demand justice for the victims and their families.

In his book, Why We Can’t Wait, Martin Luther King Jr. said, “A social movement that only moves people is merely a revolt. A movement that changes both people and institutions is a revolution.” We will continue to seek out the missing voices and bring them to the table so that institutions can come to understand the power that communities hold.

To those looking for ways to respond, we have compiled a list of local and national resources that will aid in supporting our communities. If you or your community is organizing efforts, please let us know how we can support you by contacting your neighborhood connector. If you have resources that you would like us to share, please click here.
